The type of job mainly depend on seasons, holiday season is very busyand off season is just normal and quite. Since its acustomer oriented job , i have learned a lot on customer service. Management is there though its not equiped with managerial skills and the way to handle staff , in that sphere a lot need to be done. The appointment of senior staff have to be based on merit, which should be based on recognition and growth. The company culture supposed to be based on the company's mission which is to be "Durban's most loved entertainment destination', which is mostly based on happy staff. One thing  that you will enjoy about the job is to meet different people from all works of life, and you get to learn about different cultures.

Nothing is new at work, everyday its the same thing, payouts never change. It is only the type of personalities from guests that we never get used to. But you learn to overcome whatever state the guest put you in, and understand that the work you are doing is sensitive as it deals with money. my co-workers are fun to work with, break times we get to joke about whatever happened on the floor, and you get to forget about whatever misplaced your thoughts. The hardest part of the job is when guests become difficult to play with, being rude, insulting. The most enjoyable is payday, being able to share jokes with guests, laugh, and the smiles on their faces when they win.

The development is there. No one is left out and there is an open door policy. Training are their priority to the staff  team building are ongoing process. When 8t comes to new post, they are advertised internal then outside which 8s fair to staff who wants to further their knowledge and skills.

i worked at the company for three full years and the environment was healthy since even management encouraged me to pursue my studies while working , the staff members were productive and they always treated me like family, and working there was an experience although it was tough at times since I felt neglected by management at times but that helped me acquire some experience at the same time.

Tsogo Sun is a great company to work for. The culture within the company is awesome and the opportunity to grow as an individual and professionally is endless. TsogoSun wellness and economic empowerment programmes are legendary and hard to see being matched.

I learnt alot for working here and I will ever be grateful. The job was nice good working environment with people of different ethnic groups so you have to adapt while learning to work peacefully and productively. Suncoast is a company that offers growth if you're are willing to grow with in it.

I have learnt everything I needed to learn in the hospitality industry. This company is able to build you in the best way possible. There are ups and downs like in any company but if you know what you want you pull through.

I thoroughly enjoyed working there. Made numerous friends for life. The people firendly although everyone was out to get each other whenever a promotion was available. Hardest part of the job was finding things to occupy myself after finishing the days work.
